The magic's gone..

In 1996 the last CD with Journey feat. Steve Perry was released.
And after this, some of the magic was gone.
During the "Steve Perry years", journey went from a middle prog-rock band to a multimillion industry. Steve Perry introduced the magic into the songwriting alongside both Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon. And as they all said, when they got together to write the 1996 album "Trail By Fire", 12 songs was produced in an enormous speed.
And it's a magical record, with parts from all the sides of Journey. From the hard rocking songs, to the all everlasting ballads.

When you think about Journey, and if you've heard Journey, you’ll think about; Open Arms, Faithfully, Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), Be Good To Yourself. And who can forget these songs? Who can forget the sound and the soul of Steve Perry’s voice? The singing guitar of Neal Schon. Who can forget the magic?

Now, even though Arnel got a great voice, it's not Steve Perry. It's not "The Voice". It's not the magic. Sadly.

As a long time Journey fan, I only wish that someday, someway, Cain, Schon and Perry will get back together. And bring the magic back.
